Interactive UI Design Learning

Building UI design skills that work in the real world

Get Started Today

What we're actually doing here

We started in 2017 with a simple question: why do most UI design courses teach theory but skip the messy reality of production work? Students learn about color theory and typography rules, then struggle when they open Figma for a client project. That gap between classroom concepts and actual interface work is where most beginners get stuck, spending months figuring out what should have been covered from day one.

Our courses focus on the practical mechanics that working designers use every day. You'll learn how to structure component libraries that don't fall apart after the third revision, how to handle edge cases that break your carefully planned layouts, and how to make design decisions when stakeholders want three different things. We use real project scenarios pulled from agency work, SaaS products, and mobile applications because that's where these skills actually matter.

The platform runs on interactive exercises where you solve specific problems rather than watch demonstrations. Each module presents a broken interface, unclear user flow, or inconsistent design system, and you work through fixing it with immediate feedback. We track which concepts trip people up most often and adjust the difficulty curve accordingly. Students report cutting their learning time by about 40% compared to traditional video courses because they're practicing rather than just absorbing information.

We're based in Saskatoon but serve students across six continents, from freelancers building their first portfolio to developers switching into design roles. The content stays current with interface trends but focuses on underlying principles that won't become obsolete when the next design tool launches. Our instructor team includes designers from product companies and agencies who update course material based on what's causing problems in current projects. This isn't about learning yesterday's best practices or tomorrow's theoretical frameworks, it's about skills you can apply immediately.

How we got here

2017

Platform Launch

Started with three courses focused on mobile interface patterns and responsive layouts. Initial student group of 240 people from seven countries helped refine the interactive exercise format.

2020

Content Expansion

Added advanced modules covering design systems, accessibility requirements, and component architecture. Integrated real-time feedback system based on common mistakes identified in student submissions.

2023

Global Reach

Crossed 15,000 active students with course material translated into eight languages. Introduced specialized tracks for different focus areas like dashboard design and mobile-first development.

Who's running this

Our teaching approach comes from years spent fixing interface problems in production environments. We know which concepts actually matter when you're two hours from a client presentation with a half-finished prototype.

Oskar Lindqvist, Co-founder and Chief Learning Architect

Oskar Lindqvist

Co-founder & Chief Learning Architect

Spent twelve years designing interfaces for financial platforms and healthcare applications before building this platform. Specialized in turning complex data displays into understandable user experiences, which taught him how to break down intimidating concepts into manageable steps.

18,400+
Active Students

Learners currently enrolled across all course tracks, from complete beginners to experienced developers adding design skills to their toolkit.

850+
Exercise Scenarios

Interactive problems covering everything from button states to complete dashboard layouts, each based on situations our instructors encountered in actual projects.

94%
Completion Rate

Students who finish at least 80% of their chosen course track, significantly higher than typical online education platforms that average around 15%.

6.2hrs
Average Session

Typical time students spend working through exercises before taking a break, indicating engagement with the hands-on learning format rather than passive watching.

How our courses actually work

Scenario-Based

Each exercise presents a specific interface problem drawn from real client work, complete with constraints and requirements you'd face in actual projects.

Instant Feedback

The platform evaluates your solutions immediately, pointing out where your layout breaks on mobile or which accessibility standards you missed.

Progressive Difficulty

Start with basic component design and gradually work up to complete interface systems, with each level building on techniques from previous modules.

Production Ready

Focus on techniques that survive code handoff, client revisions, and edge cases rather than concepts that only work in controlled demo environments.

What you'll find in our courses

Component library structure and organization methods

Component Systems

Build reusable interface elements that maintain consistency across screens while handling variations in content and context.

Responsive layout techniques for multiple screen sizes

Responsive Methods

Learn breakpoint strategies and fluid layouts that adapt gracefully from mobile to desktop without breaking your carefully planned hierarchy.

Accessibility standards implementation in interface design

Accessibility Standards

Implement WCAG requirements that real audits check for, including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and color contrast.

User flow optimization and interaction patterns

Interaction Patterns

Master common UI patterns for forms, navigation, data tables, and modal flows that users expect and developers can implement efficiently.
